Intercoiffure Mondial gathers over 350 professionals in Paris to celebrate the art of hair
The event at the historic Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione highlighted global trends, cross-national collaboration, and tributes to strategic industry partners.
Paris, France, was the stage for a gathering that united circus tradition with high-end hair fashion. More than 350 members of Intercoiffure Mondial, coming from various parts of the world, assembled at the historic Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione under the motto "The Hair Show Must Go On!" For barbershop and salon professionals, the event represents a unique opportunity to observe how technique and creativity merge in an international setting.
The program turned the stage into a showcase of craftsmanship and innovation. Groups such as Intercoiffure France, Fondation Guillaume, Intercoiffure Nordic, along with the Creative Capsule winners, Intercoiffure Japan, and Intercoiffure Latin America, presented their distinct creative signatures. Diversity was the central point: while France transformed hair into flowers and sculptures with "Le Pouvoir des Fleurs," Japan explored calculated imperfection in "Residual Form".
Other delegations brought equally striking concepts. Intercoiffure Latin America reimagined the circus universe with "Hypnotic," and Intercoiffure Nordic blended baroque and street culture in "Fusion." Fondation Guillaume presented three trend worlds, exploring rebellion, volume, and glamour through presentations like "Black & White Spectacle" and "Golden Guillaume."
Peter F. Pfister, president of Intercoiffure Mondial, summarized the essence of the meeting by highlighting the power of craftsmanship and collaboration between continents. He stated: "This is the power of craftsmanship – Intercoiffure Mondial thrives on collaboration between continents, creativity, craftsmanship, and personal exchange within our global community." The event was co-presented by Gunilla Bergfeldt, vice-president of Fondation Guillaume.
Beyond the artistic presentations, the weekend celebrated individual achievements and strategic partnerships. Junji Yamano, Hiroyuki Obayashi, and Eizo Kakimoto were honored for their exceptional commitment. L’Oréal also received recognition, with Omar Hajeri, president of the brand’s professional products, receiving the special distinction "Commander of the Chevalerie" for the long-standing partnership.
The program also included an exclusive pre-event at Le Visionnaire, focused on salon trends, sustainability, and technology. On Sunday, activities continued at the House of Nations, Intercoiffure Mondial’s international headquarters in Paris, with new inspirations from partners such as Graham Hill, RefectoCil, ZENZ, and SHeartS. The city demonstrated that the organization is a global community driven by personal connection and shared passion for the craft.
