Naturist barbershop opens in Florianópolis offering clothing-free cuts
A new barbershop in the Santa Catarina capital allows clients and professionals to be nude during appointments, expanding the range of services for the naturist audience in Brazil.
Florianópolis (SC) has just gained a new space dedicated to naturism enthusiasts: a barbershop where it is possible to get haircuts and other personal care treatments without clothes. This novelty directly interests the sector, as it proposes a differentiated experience that combines traditional barbering services with bodily freedom, attracting both locals and tourists.
The venture was conceived by influencer Daniella Motta, 21 years old, who recently opened the doors of the establishment. On-site, professionals work nude, and clients have total autonomy to choose their level of exposure: they can remain fully dressed, wear only underwear, or feel completely at ease. Service is individualized and conducted by appointment.
In addition to haircuts, the service menu includes beard, mustache, and massage. The fees charged range between 2,000 and 4,000 reais per session. To ensure privacy and avoid embarrassment, the space has specific rules, such as prohibiting hidden photos or requests for the professional to evaluate the client's body.
Although it may seem exotic, the initiative is not unprecedented in the country. In March 2021, esthetician Rodney Araújo inaugurated Brazil's first naturist barbershop in Fortaleza (CE), named Barbearia Naturista do Brasil. The proposal arose from reflection on why not expand options for those who already frequent nudist beaches.
There are also records of other establishments with similar proposals in São Paulo (SP), including Studio Motta, in Vila Mariana, aimed at the male audience. The logic follows the pattern of naturist clubs and resorts: nudity is not mandatory, but rather a natural option within the experience.
On the international scene, examples such as Clover Spa & Hotel in the United Kingdom show that spas and salons have been operating with this flexibility for some time. With the opening in Florianópolis, the city reinforces its tradition of welcoming naturism, extending the philosophy of "everyone stays as they please" into beauty salons.
