In the city of Bari, Italy, Hair by Ranieri barbershop, located in the Japigia district, has become a protagonist in local life upon completing six decades of activity. The establishment is a point of interest for industry professionals as it demonstrates how family tradition and the maintenance of historical elements can sustain a business amidst urban changes.

Antonio Ranieri, the current owner, inherited the salon from his father, who opened its doors in 1969. At that time, the area was practically deserted, but today the surroundings are completely transformed. Despite the neighborhood's evolution, Antonio preserved the original furniture of the place, keeping alive the essence of the space since its founding.

The professional defines himself as a hair artisan, highlighting that his chairs have witnessed the passage of people of all ages and professions. According to him, the salon has hosted children, elderly people, judges, lawyers, teachers, and workers. This diversity reinforces the idea that the barbershop functions as a mirror of society.

Beyond technical service, Antonio values the cultural atmosphere of the space. The store's interior features record players and vinyl records, reflecting his passion for music. This welcoming environment contributes to creating a deeper connection between the barber and whoever sits in the chair.

For Antonio, the role of the barber as a confidant remains unchanged, regardless of the trends that emerge over the years. He explains that, over time, clients share their personal stories, generating mutual trust. "You end up knowing the clients' stories, trust is born and you become friends," he states.

The trajectory of Hair by Ranieri illustrates how a barbershop can transcend a simple haircut to become a space for social coexistence and cultural preservation in Bari.
