Cartagena Hosts The White Battle, a National Competition Blending Technique and Local Business
The event at Pabellón Wsell brings together professionals and young talents in four categories, with support from local commerce and a focus on training.
The city of Cartagena, Spain, will host The White Battle this Sunday, October 11. Organized by local professional Antonio Blanco with the backing of the city council, the barbering competition will bring together both veterans and new talents in the industry at the Pabellón Wsell in Guimbarda. For those working in barbershops, the initiative is relevant for combining technical demonstration, creativity, and training in a single environment.
The official presentation took place on Friday, October 2, when Commerce Councilor Belén Romero highlighted the economic impact of the event. According to her, proposals like this go beyond the competitive aspect, as they generate economic activity and collaborations between different sectors, projecting the city's image as a dynamic hub.
The event will feature participation from the gastronomic establishment Chamfer Burguer, responsible for providing food and drinks throughout the day. This partnership illustrates the synergy between commerce, services, and hospitality, aiming to offer a complete experience to participants and visitors arriving in the region.
Competitors will contest four distinct categories: Fast Fade, Cut & Beard, Freestyle, and Young Promises. Each challenge will allow them to showcase specific skills, ranging from the precision of a fade to the creation of signature styles. A specialized jury will evaluate the work, awarding prizes composed of products and tools from the industry.
In addition to the competitions, the space will be open to the public with commercial stands from companies in the field. Antonio Blanco described the opportunity as a chance to get up close to barbers' work and discover new trends, creating a meeting point between professionals, brands, and clients.
With the motto “Your talent, your moment,” The White Battle seeks to give visibility to the industry and consolidate Cartagena as a meeting place for professionals from various parts of Spain. It is expected that the arrival of participants, companions, and visitors will significantly contribute to local economic activity.
