Munich Presents Back to Basic Collection Focused on Clean Contours and Texture
HairGott salon in Germany launched its new haircut collection exploring classic and modern silhouettes. The project highlights the collaboration between masters and apprentices.
In Munich, Germany, the renowned HairGott salon presented its latest hair collection, titled Back to Basic. This initiative directly interests barbershop professionals by demonstrating how precision techniques and expressive textures can be applied to short and medium cuts, reinforcing the importance of technical mastery over passing trends.
The central proposal of the collection is to explore the balance between clean contours, fluid movement, and texture. The looks range from precise bobs and sculptural wavy silhouettes to the Hymne cut, modern mullets, and short cuts with soft layers. This diversity aims to show the versatility of manual work in creating styles that combine structure and naturalness.
The project is led by Horst Nachtigall, founder, master stylist, and educator of the house, who also took on creative direction and photography for the images. HairGott's international team, distributed across three salons in the city, was responsible for executing the hair. The collaboration between experienced professionals and emerging talents is the fundamental pillar of this edition.
Since 1994, the establishment has presented its own collection annually, always as a collective project involving the entire team. This season, four apprentices took on the creative responsibility for their own models for the first time. They developed the looks independently, from the initial conception of the idea to the final result, marking an important step in their professional training.
As the flagship store for the Paul Mitchell brand, HairGott combines precise craftsmanship with expertise in professional products. For the color nuances present in the Back to Basic collection, products from the Wella Professionals line were used. This choice reinforces the integration between cutting technique and colorimetry to achieve the desired visual effect.
The presentation of this collection reaffirms the salon's commitment to continuous education and technical innovation. By giving visibility to the work of apprentices, HairGott highlights that excellence in modern barbering depends on the transmission of knowledge between generations and the rigorous application of classic fundamentals in contemporary contexts.
