OMC Hairworld celebrates 80 years in Paris with over a thousand professionals from around the world

Paris, France, hosted the special edition of OMC Hairworld 2026 between October 10 and 12. The event, which is part of the MCB by Beauté Sélection professional trade show, attracted over a thousand competitors from all five continents to celebrate eight decades of history in the sector. For those working in barbering and aesthetics, the gathering reinforces the importance of technical and artistic exchange between professionals from different countries.

This year's edition had particular historical significance as it marked the 80th anniversary of the organization's founding. The program combined high-level competitions, artistic recognitions, and official celebrations, transforming the championship into much more than a simple sporting contest. The French city served as the stage for an extraordinary demonstration of imagination and technical precision, reaffirming the event's position as one of the main international benchmarks of the profession.

The diversity of the competed categories highlighted the global talent present on site. The events ranged from avant-garde creations to precision in men's barbering, including commercial styles, elegant evening updos, makeup, and beauty and nail disciplines. One of the central moments of the celebration was the OMC Global Awards 2026 ceremony, held on Saturday, October 10. The gala took place on the main stage of the trade show in Paris and brought together prominent figures from the international industry. During the event, world champions, artists, educators, and professionals who contributed significantly to building the organization's history over the last eight decades were honored.

The OMC leadership is composed of Salvatore Fodera, founder and president; Gianni Fodera, world president; Vincent Fodera, Hairworld president; and Carmelo Gugliotti, vice-president. Under this management, the mission to promote global artistic and technical development continued to be strengthened. The celebration also paid tribute to the many generations of barbers, educators, and national associations that helped build a professional community united by a common passion.
