In San Juan, Argentina, school routines and rugby training did not prevent Luca Romero, 15 years old, from taking a significant step in his professional career. Just one month ago, the young man opened Dapper, his own barbershop and studio space, consolidating a trajectory that began about a year and a half ago as a hobby.

The inspiration to enter the trade came from constant observation during childhood and the example of an older peer. Romero recalls that at 12 years old, he saw another 15-year-old working in the profession, which sparked his interest. Today, he is living exactly that age that once seemed distant to him, balancing academic commitments at a commercial high school and sports activities at the Jockey Club with client service.

The establishment is located on Laprida Street, near Plaza 25 de Mayo. The main characteristic of the business is the "studio" concept, which seeks to differentiate itself from traditional barbershops with multiple chairs and waiting lines. The model prioritizes privacy and exclusivity, focusing on direct interaction between the barber and the client, usually scheduled through appointments.

In addition to cuts, Romero uses social media as a strategic tool to promote his work and create content. The combination of technique with explanatory videos and challenges generated rapid audience growth. In just two weeks, his follower base jumped from around 150 to approximately 2,000, driven by a video that reached about 100,000 views.

The young man set a personal challenge: to become recognized in the city within 365 days. His goal is to be identified as "the" barber of the region. Among the names he already has in mind for future cuts are local public figures, such as actor Darío Barassi and Mauricio Nozica.

While fulfilling his one-year plan, Romero divides his time between school, sports, clients, and digital publications. He can be found on Instagram under the profile @lucaromero.barber, while his barbershop operates under the name @dapper.studio.sj.
