Cartagena hosts The White Battle, a competition blending technique and local business
Event organized by Antonio Blanco brings together professional barbers and young talents in Cartagena, Spain, highlighting the collaboration between the beauty sector and the local economy.
The city of Cartagena, Spain, will host The White Battle on October 11. Taking place at the Pabellón Wsell de Guimbarda, this barbering competition is organized by local professional Antonio Blanco with the support of the Cartagena City Council (Ayuntamiento). The initiative directly appeals to those working in the industry by combining technical demonstrations, training, and networking opportunities between businesses and the public.
The official presentation was held on October 2 by Belén Romero, the councilor for Commerce, who highlighted the economic impact of the activity. For her, the competition goes beyond the technical aspect by generating financial movement and strengthening the city's image as a dynamic hub. Collaboration is the key word, as the event integrates different economic areas to create a complete experience.
An example of this synergy is the participation of Chamfer Burguer, which will be responsible for the gastronomic offerings during the event. The councilor emphasized that the union between commerce, services, and hospitality enriches the final result, offering participants and visitors a more robust structure. This approach aims to position Cartagena as a host for specialized events that attract visitors and stimulate local consumption.
Competitors will compete in four distinct categories: Fast Fade, Cut & Beard (Corte y Barba), Freestyle, and Young Promises (Jóvenes Promesas). Each challenge will allow them to showcase specific skills, ranging from precision in fades to the creation of signature styles. A jury will evaluate the work based on technique and creativity, awarding prizes composed of products and tools from the industry.
In addition to the competitions, the event is open to the general public, featuring commercial booths from companies in the field and food services. Antonio Blanco described the occasion as an opportunity for the public to get up close with barbers' work and discover new trends, serving as a meeting point between brands, professionals, and clients.
With the motto 'Your talent, your moment,' The White Battle seeks to give visibility to the talents of the profession and consolidate Cartagena as a gathering place for professionals from different parts of Spain. It is expected that the arrival of participants, companions, and visitors will significantly contribute to the city's economic activity.
