The city of Tres Arroyos, in Argentina, hosted the international gathering "El Proceso" between October 3rd and 5th, an event specifically aimed at the barber community. The initiative is relevant for those working in the sector because it combined technical training, competitions, and experience sharing into a single schedule, consolidating the locality as a new hub for the industry.

Local organization was handled by Jona Jerez from JOHN'S and Thomas Pereyra from HACHE ESTUDIO, with support from the municipal government. The event featured participation from over 250 visitors who traveled from various regions of Argentina, including San Bernardo, Necochea, Guernica, Rosario, La Pampa, Córdoba, and Pehuajó. In addition to domestic attendees, professionals arrived from Guatemala, Mexico, and Uruguay to take part in the activities.

One of the highlights was the presence of Uruguayan international educator Ema Medina, who chose the city as the venue for the final of his world challenge. The finale took place on October 5th at the municipal multi-sport gymnasium, closing the schedule with competitions and free-style presentations.

The event structure was distributed across different locations over the three days. The opening on the 3rd included shows, gastronomy, and booths in the multi-sport gymnasium. The following day, the focus shifted to the Municipal Theater, which hosted seminars and exclusive demonstrations. The closing brought practical tests and the decision of Medina's final challenge.

The economic impact was significant for the region. According to the organizers, the movement generated by the event reached approximately 40 million Argentine pesos, driven primarily by spending on lodging and food. Beyond the local economy, the gathering served to promote tourism, allowing more than 250 visitors to discover and appreciate the city.

For the barbering sector, "El Proceso" marks a precedent by demonstrating the capacity of specialized events to attract international audiences and generate cultural and financial value simultaneously. The combination of masterclasses, shows, and competitions showed that the profession goes beyond haircuts, functioning as a strong tool for connection between professionals from different countries.
