International barbering congress boosts economy in Argentine city
More than 250 professionals participated in the 'El Proceso' event in Tres Arroyos, Argentina, generating an economic impact exceeding 40 million pesos.
The city of Tres Arroyos, in Argentina, recently hosted the closing of the international edition of the "El Proceso" congress. The event, aimed at barbering professionals, attracted more than 250 participants from various regions of the country and abroad, consolidating itself as an important milestone for the sector.
The initiative was organized by local stylists Jona Jerez, from JOHN’S, and Thomas Pereyra, from HACHE ESTUDIO, with institutional support from the municipal government. The massive presence of visitors resulted in an estimated economic movement of 40 million Argentine pesos, resources that were directed mainly to the hotel, gastronomy, and essential services sectors.
The diversity of participants was a striking feature of the meeting. In addition to professionals from Argentine cities such as San Bernardo, Necochea, Guernica, Rosario, La Pampa, Córdoba, and Pehuajó, the congress featured international delegations from Guatemala, Mexico, and Uruguay. This mix of cultures and techniques reinforced the global character of the event.
One of the highlights was the participation of Uruguayan educator and influencer Ema Medina, who chose the city as the official venue for the final of his world championship, the "Reto Final Mundial" (World Final Challenge). His presence helped to raise the technical and media profile of the competition.
The activities were distributed over three days in emblematic spaces in the district, combining high-level training sessions with open spectacles for the local community. This structure allowed both professionals and residents to access market news.
For the organization and the municipal tourism and production departments, the success of the event demonstrates the importance of articulating private initiatives of national reach to boost the local economy. The experience reinforces the potential of Tres Arroyos as a venue for large-scale corporate and academic events.
