In the United States, the trajectory of Rosalía Rodríguez Diaz, known as La Rosy, serves as inspiration for professionals seeking prominence in the market. Born in Güira de Melena, in the former province of Havana, Cuba, she broke with the masculine stereotype of the profession by turning her artistic skills into a solid career in barbering.

Her calling emerged spontaneously when she visited a friend's house and was captivated by the transformation provided by haircuts. With the support of her parents, who financed her first tools, she began studying the trade. In 2016, she moved to the United States through the southern border, facing initial challenges such as cleaning windows in buildings before landing her first job at a barbershop.

Her professional growth was accelerated by the strategic use of social media. By sharing her work on Instagram, La Rosy reached over 235 thousand followers, becoming the second most-followed Latina barber on the platform. This digital visibility opened doors to official competitions and international invitations.

In February 2018, she won the women's category in a local competition, a milestone that consolidated her presence in the sector. Subsequently, she began working as a judge at events in other states and countries. In the same year, she signed a contract with the brand Pacinos Signature Line, which allowed her to travel to Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and various U.S. states to conduct seminars.

In 2021, recognition intensified with the win of the Barber Granmy in the Content Creator of the Year category. She also received the Reina de la Silla award and placed second in the Industry Icon competition. These titles reinforce her position as a technical and digital reference.

For La Rosy, the greatest legacy is inspiring other women to overcome the machismo present in the sector. She believes that dedication and authenticity are essential for opening paths. Her advice to new generations is not to give up in the face of closed doors, because talent allied with courage will always find space.

Rosalía's story demonstrates that passion for the trade transcends cultural and gender barriers. By maintaining her Cuban essence and a close communication with clients, she proves that technical excellence and personal identity can coexist at the top of the global barbering industry.
