Spanish barbershop unveils collection adapting men's cuts to short female hair
Tian Stil Home, based in Vinaròs (Spain), launched Atemporal-02, an aesthetic proposal that reinterprets short and structured silhouettes, traditionally linked to the male universe, for female models.
In Vinaròs, Spain, the salon Tian Stil Home, led by Sebastián Forner, known as Tian, presented its second conceptual collection, named Atemporal-02. The event is relevant to barbershop professionals because it challenges traditional trade boundaries by applying techniques and silhouettes typically associated with men to short female hair.
The core proposal of the collection consists of taking structured cuts, with marked lines and defined volume, which society traditionally associated only with the male gender, to reinterpret them on female models. The goal is to demonstrate the versatility and character of short female hair, breaking the idea that this aesthetic choice would be risky or limiting.
The presentation was structured into four distinct looks, each executed by different professionals. The first look, named Mod cutt curly, was performed by Dunia Pla, focusing on texture and modern movement. Next, Gisela Esteve presented the Pixie quiff, a short cut with masculine inspiration that prioritizes volume and attitude.
Another highlight was the Mini mullet, executed by Paula Aixalà, which took the generational trend to its maximum aesthetic expression. Finally, Sara Febrer walked in a V-shaped Mid fade, a high-precision mid-fade that ends in a V-shaped nape. It is worth noting that Sara was also responsible for the makeup of the rest of the cast.
According to the team, the collection's name reflects the search for an aesthetic that transcends passing fashions and the passage of time. The inspiration comes from the premise that beauty and style should not be defined by labels or specific genders. As the salon stated: "We want to break the myth that short hair on women is a risky choice".
Tian Stil Home, reopened under current direction in 1999, has consolidated itself as a national reference by fusing classic tradition with avant-garde. In addition to the main salon, the house hosts The Barber Museum and drives elite events such as Master Barber, the Barber Congress at Beauty Valencia, and the acclaimed Barber Ring at LOOK Madrid Ifema.
