In Bari, Italy, the municipal government paid tribute to the historic Manobianco barbershop, recognizing more than six decades of dedication to the craft. The presentation of a commemorative plaque highlights the importance of the establishment as a cultural and social reference point for local generations.

The journey began in 1964, when Giovanni Manobianco opened the business at age 25. Since then, technical knowledge has been passed from father to son, ensuring the continuity of operations. Currently, Sandro Manobianco runs the barbershop alongside his wife, Rosa, maintaining the quality standards that have characterized the house since its founding.

Over the years, the location adapted to urban transformations without giving up its roots. The combination between artisanal tradition and the trust built with clients allowed the barbershop to withstand market changes, consolidating itself as a living heritage of the community.

Among the most striking memories recorded by the family is the frequent visit from renowned composer Nino Rota. He was a regular client but never revealed his profession to the barber. Giovanni only discovered the musician's identity after seeing him in a newspaper publication, a fact that illustrates the reserved and personal nature of the relationships maintained at the location.

City councilor Angela Perna emphasized during the ceremony that the family's history represents a genuine love for work. She highlighted the Manobiancos' ability to navigate Bari's transformations while preserving a tradition that benefits the entire community, also thanking councilman Vittorio Piancaldini for nominating the establishment for the tribute.

The official plaque, signed by Mayor Vito Leccese, describes the barbershop as a place where passion and dedication meet. The document emphasizes that, for more than 60 years, the location has offered human warmth and craftsmanship, becoming an irreplaceable presence in the lives of the city's residents.
