In the United States, renowned barber Victor Fontanez, popularly known as VicBlends, took a strategic step by launching his own men's care brand called BetterDays. The project was born with a clear proposal: to unite the authenticity of barbershop culture with formulas that prioritize performance and the inclusion of different hair textures. This initiative is relevant to the sector because it seeks to raise the standard of products available on the market, offering professional options for home use.

The brand was co-founded by Fontanez along with Joey Thomas, an experienced retail executive. The initial launch includes two products described as "barber quality," manufactured in the United States and enriched with premium ingredients. Both items utilize an exclusive fragrance, developed specifically for the line.

Among the available products is the Rebound Cream, a leave-in conditioner formulated with shea butter, coconut oil, and Pro-Vitamin B5. The goal is to nourish dry hair, reduce inflammation, and strengthen hair follicles. The other option is the Grip Powder, a high-performance texturizing powder that uses natural oil absorbers, such as arrowroot starch and silica.

VicBlends built his reputation not only through technique but also through social impact. He offered free cuts to young people in neighborhoods in Atlanta and New York and, in August 2025, opened the VicBlends Academy at Valley State Prison in California. This is the first licensed barbershop school inside a state penitentiary, allowing incarcerated men to learn the trade.

The founder highlights the importance of self-confidence and mental well-being. In an interview, he stated: "I have seen firsthand how a fresh cut is not just about appearance; it is a mental reset that immediately elevates you." This vision seeks to transform men's perception of themselves through small daily rituals.

The operation counts with financial support from the Root fund and received seven million dollars in investments, led by Maveron and Will Ventures, as well as strategic participation from artist Lil Baby. The brand is already available for purchase on the official website BetterDaysHair.com, on TikTok Shop, and on Amazon.
